Very gusty and shifty conditions this morning with a fresh to strong wind of 17-23 kts. Expect gusts of 25-30 kts with a few to 35 kts possible, especially across the outer harbor. A slight veering from the W to the WNW/NW early in the morning and then the mean wind direction becomes steadier. Wind speeds ease slightly during the afternoon to about 16-22 kts and then further during the evening.

For now it looks like the winds will be light (under 6 knots) to start the day; likely out of the S. With enough clearing you can see a backing trend to SE’ly; however, that is looking less and less likely. Then in the mid afternoon look for a right trend as the winds start to fill out of the SW, ahead of the approaching cold front.
